Lilac Breasted Roller - Coracias caudataThe lilac breasted roller is a very colourful, heavy-billed bird with brillian blue wing-feathers and harsh, croaking voices. They are found in a variety of woodland types and will usually be seen hawking for insects from a favoured position in a tall tree, telephone pole or similar vantage point. It is the only roller with a lilac throat and breast and a blue belly.
