DAY 2
After breakfast depart for the Xakanaxa
area of Moremi
Game Reserve, a drive of 140 kilometres, which takes approximately four
hours.
The Moremi Game Reserve is situated within the Okavango
Delta and is a haven to a wide variety of bird
life and many water dependent animals. It is a unique African wildlife
paradise and one of the finest remaining wilderness areas in the world.
Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive during which you will explore
the pans, flood plains, reed banks and forests of giant acacia
trees and mopane woodlands that combine in an unsurpassed natural habitat
for the many wildlife species of the Okavango.

DAY 3
A leisurely morning boat cruise through
the waterways of the Delta will give you the opportunity to experience first
hand the unique flora, fauna of the area. Bird
life is prolific with over 440-recorded species.
On your game drive you will get close to Botswana’s wide variety of
big game, including possible sightings of buffalo
and elephant
and other animal species that most typify this area.

DAY 4
Starting early, we will continue your safari
activities where you left off the day before. Before we depart for the Khwai
area of Moremi
Game Reserve we will enjoy a rewarding breakfast.
The distance to Khwai is approximately 85 kilometres and we will take advantage
of some game viewing en route. A packed lunch will break the drive to Khwai.
Take pleasure in an afternoon game drive in the area along the Khwai River
and its flood plain where hippo,
elephant, antelope and numerous species of
bird life abound.

DAY 1
On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be
met and assisted by your professional safari guide. Take a tour through the
vibrant and friendly safari town of Maun, which is known as the “gateway
to the Okavango Delta”
before you leave for the rural countryside to Motsentsela Lodge, which is
a small tented camp, situated on a game farm 12 kilometres outside of Maun.
In the afternoon you safari guide will take you on a guided walk on the Motsentsela
property. Accommodation in a twin bedded tent with en suite facilities on
a full board basis including wine with dinner.

DAY 5
In Khwai we spend time out exploring the
area on morning and afternoon game drives. During the afternoon large herds
of elephant
may be seen coming to the water’s edge to drink. Birdwatching is excellent
- a paradise for any professional or amateur ornithologist.

DAY 6
After breakfast and an early morning drive,
depart for Savute a distance of approximately 109 kilometres through amazing
game viewing areas
Recognised as a prime game viewing area, the Savute covers almost 5000 square
kilometres of the southwestern corner of the Chobe National Park. Savute is
dominated by the Savute Marsh, a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over
by seven rocky outcrops that guard the relic marsh and the dry channel that
was once its lifeline. The mysterious, Savute Channel abounds with some of
Africa’s largest and most impressive creatures and is known for its
exciting game and excellent bird life. One animal that reigns supreme in the
Savute is the elephant in all its full, dusty magnificence. Savute is renowned
for its lion population, spectacular summer migrations of plains game and
wealth of bird life. We will enjoy our lunch upon arrival in Savute and head
of for yet another game drive in the afternoon.

DAY 7
Again we depart early and start to explore
some of the numerous waterholes dotted around the Savute marsh. You will soon
get to see why this area is famous for its plentiful bull elephants, which
monopolize these waterholes. Your guide will also take you around the seven
rocky outcrops around the marsh and show you the Bushman paintings, which
point to the ancient livelihoods of those who once used to live in the area.
Back on the marsh, chances are good to see the Savute lions, supreme predators
of the area. Spectacular zebra migrations, which periodically take place on
the marsh, are a sigh to behold. After a busy days’ game viewing, we
return to our tented camp for dinner and to reflect on the awesome splendour
that is Savute.

DAY 8
As we continue north we enter a totally
different ecosystem as the almost desert like landscape of the Savute gives
way to Mopane woodland, floodplain grassland and riverine woodland. The banks
of the Chobe River offer great game viewing opportunities - the Chobe is proud
of and very famous for its abundance of elephants - the highest concentration
to be found anywhere in Africa. Chobe is also famous huge herds of buffalo,
for the Chobe bushbuck, its rich bird life and exquisite sunsets

DAY 9
This morning enjoy great game viewing along
the banks of the Chobe River where we continue exploring this area with its
enormous variety of bird and animal species. After lunch and a well deserved
break we set off on a sundowner cruise where we have the opportunity to experience
one of Chobe’s famous sunsets as elephant, hippo, buffalo and a profusion
of bird life grace the banks of the river as they quench their thirst - a
truly memorable experience

DAY 10
We leave the Chobe National Park after a
final early morning game drive and make our way to Victoria Falls. It is a
1.5 hour drive and you will be helped through customs and immigration upon
entering Zimbabwe. At Victoria Falls we will be taken to our very comfortable
Ilala Lodge. After lunch we visit the famous Victoria Falls - one of the natural
wonders of the world.
A sundowner cruise on the mighty Zambezi River which includes drinks and snacks
will conclude our adventure.
Overnight: Ilala Lodge in a twin bedded room with en suite bathroom on a dinner,
bed and breakfast. Location: Victoria

DAY 11
The morning is spent at your leisure. Time
to do some last minute curio shopping or simply explore the bustling town
of Victoria Falls before we take you to the airport for your return flight
home.
